Mühendis gobisine ayrıca hükümlü Goby denir. Gobies ve blennies ayrı bir ailedir. İşaretleri ömrü boyunca değişir. Tutarlı bir şekilde, ilgili renkler beyaz üzerinde koyu mavi ila siyah arasındadır. Bir çocuk olarak, işaretler vücudun uzunluğunu çalıştıran yataydır. Yaşla birlikte dikey bantlar haline gelirler.
55 galon veya daha büyük bir akvaryumda, oyuk oluşturabileceği kum kaplı bir tabanla tutulmalıdır. Huzurlu tank arkadaşlarına ve birçok saklanma yerine ihtiyaç duyar. Küçük gruplar veya çiftler bir akvaryumda daha iyisini yapma eğilimindedir, ancak tanka eşzamanlı olarak sokulması gerekir.
