Dama Tahtası Wrasse olarak da bilinen genç Marble / Hortulanus Wrasse, çizgili, noktalarla ve siyah lekelerle beyazdır. Olgunlaştıkça, gövde üzerinde belirgin bir siyah dama desenli gümüş haline gelir. Sırt yüzgeci ve kuyruk sarıdır ve yüz turuncu-pembe çizgili işaretlerle açık yeşildir.
Mühürlü kapaklı 125 galon veya daha büyük bir akvaryum, korkarsa altında saklanacak 2-3 inçlik kumlu bir taban ve kendi türü de dahil olmak üzere diğer huzurlu wrasses uygun bir ortamdır. Tankta, mercanları ve istiridyeleri koruyan ateşli kurtlar ve piramitel salyangozlar yer. Buna ek olarak, tüy tozları, yabani karides, tubeworms ve yassı kurt yiyebilir.
