Sleeper Railway Glider Goby, Sri Lanka resiflerini çevreleyen moloz bölgeler arasında yer almaktadır. Vücudun uzunluğunu uzatan iki farklı siyah ve turuncu yatay çizgi ile renklidir. Sırt yüzgeci siyah kenarlıdır ve dramatik bir görünüm verir. Bir resif akvaryumuna büyük bir katkı sağlayan ve kum yatağının korunmasına yardımcı olacak çok çekingen bir balıktır.
30 galon veya daha büyük bir akvaryumda, ince ila orta büyüklükte bir kum substratı ile barındırılmalıdır. Uyuyan Demiryolu Planör Goby, alt tabakada sığ sığınakları sığınma olarak kullanır ve alt tabakayı iyi oksijenlenmiş halde tutar. Nadiren diğer balıklara karşı agresif hale gelir, ancak bölgeseldir ve eşli bir çift olmadıkça kendi türüyle savaşacaktır.
Uyuyan Demiryolu Planör Goby kumdan geçerken alttan beslenir. Diyetinde çeşitli donmuş tuzlu su ve mysis karidesleri, kan kurdu ve etoburlar için hazırlanmış yiyecekler bulunmalıdır. En az günlük beslenmelidir.
